The fourth instalment of the first part of Volume III of Athanasius' Works continues the publication of documents on the Arian conflict started by Hans-Georg Opitz in 1934 and 1935. Following on from the third instalment, which ended with the Formula makrostichos , the fourth instalment now includes the four Sirmian formulae, the texts of the Synods of Rimini/ Seleukia/Constantinople 359/360 and the Synod of Alexandria 362 together with a German translation. A bibliography and index are appended to the fascicle.

In der vierten Lieferung des ersten Teils von BandIII der Athanasius Werke wird die Herausgabe der Dokumente zur Geschichte des Arianischen Streites weitergeführt, die Hans-Georg Opitz in den Jahren 1934 und 1935 begonnen hatte. Im Anschluss an die dritte Lieferung, die mit der Formula makrostichos endete, enthält die vierte Lieferung nun u. a. die vier sirmischen Formeln, die Texte der Synoden von Rimini/Seleukia/Konstantinopel 359/360 und der Synode von Alexandrien 362 samt einer deutschen Übersetzung. Dem Faszikel sind eine Bibliographie und Stellenregister beigegeben.
